Mortal Shell II officially launches August 20 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Devout Edition owners have already been playing for three days, but the general release also gives us a much clearer picture of the critical response: Cold Symmetry appears to have successfully turned its compact Soulslike into a far more ambitious sequel without sanding away every rough edge.
